This role of Warehouse Supervisor includes elements of cost management, inventory controls and safety management, as well as the day-to-day tasks associated with the effective running of the warehouse.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Receiving deliveries and unloading containers
- Receiving orders, picking, assembling and packing
- Maintenance of goods within the pallet racking
- Warehouse supervision of small team (up to 10)
- Formal, documented reporting of all safety incidents.
- Team development and training – ensure employees know their role and daily objectives.
- Developing and streamlining processes where needed
Skills and experience
- Must have people management skills – experience in leading 8+ staff.
- Forklift licence essential.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining a safe working environment
- Previous warehouse/heavy lifting experience
