
This Recruitment Officer – Internal position will work with business leaders and the Fleet Sourcing Manager across all aspects of recruitment for drivers and/or vehicle types.
Critical Accountabilities & Outcomes (key outputs or results required from the role)
- Sourcing
- Adhering to recruitment process and utilising relevant technology, including the Applicant Tracking System
- Post vacancies through various recruitment platforms and manage all applications received from candidates in a timely manner.
- Shortlist, screen and interview applicants to explain the opportunity to the candidate and determine suitability to the position.
- Ability to understand and explain Contractor Agreements and Familiarity with subcontractor processes and requirements
- Induction
- Coordinate and complete the induction of drivers into their role culture
- Coordinate and complete induction process by working with various teams to incorporate critical training content. This may include:
- Enable a smooth, supported handover to Operations for onboarding activities
- Communication:
- Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth handover for driver onboarding.
- Administration
- Implement administrative systems and procedures, and monitor administrative projects, including:
- Management of driver records
- Management and distribution of uniforms
- Coordination and preparation of reports, e.g., vehicle types currently in Fleet
- Adhere privacy rules in maintaining vehicle and personal information.
- Compliance
- Ensure compliance with privacy and contractor legislation
- Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Success Profile (required experience, competencies, functional knowledge & qualifications necessary to perform the role effectively)
- Recruitment experience in a blue-collar environment
- Working knowledge of transport systems and technology (Hub Putty and DX connect Mobile App)
- An understanding of chain of responsibility
- Proficiency in using recruitment software and platforms
- Experience in reporting and analysing information for use by others
- Intermediate level of skill in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of current Contractor legislation as well as subcontractor processes and requirements
- Knowledge of data privacy rules and adherence to them
