Lessons we can learn from Leicester City
Lessons we can learn from Leicester City
For those that are familiar with the EPL, Leicester City are on the verge of winning the title, having started the season as 5,000-1 outsiders after only just escaping relegation last season.
So what lessons can we learn from this?
1.There is no blueprint for success. The coach only got the job at the start of the season due to an indiscretion by previous coaches son, made him lose his job.
2.You do not have to spend the most money to get the best results. Only 2 weeks ago, they played a team who had one player who cost more than the entire Leicester team, yet Leicester still won. In my own industry some employers still feel the more they spend on recruitment, the better results they will get, which is far from the truth
3.You do not have to be the biggest to succeed
4.The manager instils an atmosphere of joy and tells the players to enjoy themselves, and the results will come
5.They have brought in players with raw talent, some from non league clubs, but who had potential, who they have developed.
9.A team of people, with right attitude and work ethic will always win over a team with a couple of superstars with egos
7.There is hope for everyone to be successful if you believe
8.The manager has no ego, and builds strong relationships with his team
9.Set goals, not limits
10.How you see yourself defines you. Leicester see themselves as premiers
