McDonalds and others offering sign on bonus
A McDonalds restaurant in Chatswood, is among many companies now offering cash incentives to secure staff as the skills shortage continues to bite the Australian economy. McDonald's isn't the only employer which has resorted to cash bonuses to attract staff. McDonalds and others offering sign on bonus. One question is, if we now have many people taking up the sign on bonus in unskilled work, should it need a sign on bonus to attract workers? Why are these people not already working, if unemployed? Very different in skilled workforce, as employers are attemptng to entice workers from exsiting employment.
In Melbourne, Burger chain Grill’d is offering a $10,000 sign-in bonus in its the hunt for several assistant managers while a GP vacancy in Lithgow west of Sydney comes with a $20,000 incentive.
On an employment website, Daily Mail Australia found a $10,000 sign-on bonus being offered by a Sydney law firm and up to $6,000 for multiple midwife and nurses roles in Perth.
