Why we offer a 6 month guarantee on placements?
Many people ask why we offer a transparent 6 month guarantee on placements rather than the standard 3 months most agencies offer.
There are a few reasons for this:
1. In some roles, it is impossible to gauge in 3 months whether the person will be successful in the position, particularly in the more senior roles
2. We are confident in finding the right person for you, so why would not be prepared to put our money where our mouth is?
3. There is no small print, and ridiculous clauses, the only times our guarantee will not cover you is for redundancy and maternity leave. Both of these out of our control.
4. Allows an employer more time to develop a new staff member and settle them into a new role
5. We want to be able to offer something that most agencies are not prepared to do
One of the biggest complaint we see is the guarantee periods not being honoured by agencies due to the small clauses in the T&C’s. I highly recommend that you clearly read full T&C’s before engaging an agency. Some examples where an agency has not honoured a guarantee are:
1. Payment was made outside of payment terms
2. Agency had a “just cause” line in their agreement and if they felt an employee who resigned had “just cause” then guarantee would not be honoured.
As with most things you pay for, some guarantees are not worth the paper they are written on, and others actually have value.
